This makes me really happy. My sister (yes, the “troubled one”) just sent me this picture of my niece. They haven’t gotten away as a family in ages because of her younger brother’s tragedy and health issues with her older brother. They spent July 4th at my sister Sarah’s house in Northern California, and now they are obviously visiting our old neighbors of many years, both in NYC and California. What a great trip for the kids, and hopefully my sister and brother-in-law too. I hope this is healing for all of them. Edited for Myndi. :)
